Description | Full day training
Understand your obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into effect in May 2018.
Work on your organisation's policies, with templates provided, and support from the trainer.
1. Overview of the GDPR.
7 key principles,
Legal basis for data processing options,
2. Identify best practice in IT security.
Checklist of security basics.
Review your own organisation's practice,
Identify changes you may need to implement.
3. What to include in your Data Protection Policy and related policies e.g. Privacy Statement.
4. Make changes to your existing policies or draft new ones. Templates for guidance will be provided and questions
answered by the trainer. Please bring laptops with access to any files you will need to work on.
Who should attend?
Anyone working in a voluntary, community or other non profit organisation who needs to review current practice and identify actions required for GDPR compliance.
