(The financial criteria are set by the government Office of the Third Sector)
(Revised criteria 02.03.10)
A. The minimum grant that can be requested is £250.00. A maximum of £5,000 can be awarded to successful applicants during 2010.
B. An organisation must have received LESS than an average of £30,000 per annum over the previous 3 financial years i.e. 2007/2008. 2008/9, 2009/10 (ie no more than £90,000 over the 3 years.) (This threshold was increased by the Office of The Third Sector from £20,000 in February 2009).
C. Groups must be able to provide evidence that the organisation has been active in the local community since April 2009. This evidence could include notes from meetings, dated draft aims and objectives, flyers of activities held, newsletters etc.
• Organisational development
To assist the organisation to put policies and procedures in place in order to
help improve their chances of gaining grants.
• Community Projects
Projects that will bring the community together or improve local surroundings.
Although all projects will be considered with equal weight, the Panel will be interested to see projects
* that provide health-related activities, particularly those supporting women, children and families; or
* that can demonstrate sustainability e.g. a grant being used to start an activity / service and then a small
subscription being made for attendance

Grassroots Grants are funded by the Office of the Third Sector (OTS) and delivered by the Community Development Foundation.
