THE ENDOWMENT CHALLENGE
Want to run in the London Marathon?
Have you, or someone you know, always wanted to run in the London Marathon? The chance to run in the London Marathon is difficult to come by, but the Grassroots Grants Endowment Challenge can now offer this opportunity to 5 people who live and/or work in Enfield.
This challenge is an initiative of The North West London Community Foundation, in partnership with Enfield Voluntary Action.

For every £1 raised the government will match with another £1!
In the first 3 rounds of the Grassroots Grants programme (July 2008 – September 2009) 173,000 pounds has been awarded to 48 local voluntary and community organisations for a wide range of projects. To find out about the projects supported
Your application to run in the marathon will include a commitment to raise funds for the Enfield Grassroots Grants Endowment Challenge, which aims to continue to support local community groups and the development of new voluntary and community sector services in Enfield, when the current Grassroots Grants funding comes to an end in 2011.
Fundraising target
Your minimum fundraising target for running the London Marathon for this challenge will be 2,000 pounds (which the government will turn into 4000 pounds). You will receive the following support
• Fundraising pack and sponsorship forms
• Tips for training/nutrition
• Working with the local press and media
• NWLCF running vest
• Email/phone fundraising support in the lead up to the event
• Support on the day
• Post-race reception/debriefing
