EVA provides services to local voluntary and community organisations in Enfield

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. In the same way as learning physical first aid, MHFA teaches people how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health and feel confident to guide someone to appropriate support. Embedding MHFA training within any organisation or community also encourages people to talk more freely about mental health, reducing stigma and creating a more positive culture.
It is essential that both the attendee and the organisation sending them on the training read this document.
Internal support is very important to embed Mental Health First Aiders into an organisation successfully.
*This training is valued at £300 per person by MHFA.
EVA can offer up to 12 places for £65 per person for staff or volunteers from voluntary and community organisations providing at least 80% of their services to London Borough of Enfield residents. Organisations which do not meet this requirement will be charged £300.
Our £65 cost comprises £40 for course materials & the accreditation fee + £25 contribution to 2 days room hire and refreshments. The quality assured instructors, Ian Beever & Lesley Derry, are offering their services on a ‘pro bono’ (free of charge) basis on this occasion and all other administration costs are met by EVA. Certificates will be provided by MHFA England.
