Enfield Voluntary Action is known as EVA. We help people & groups access knowledge, skills & resources to make a difference in our Borough.

Enfield Council commissions and funds EVA's management (Chief Executive & Finance and Administration), the Information Service, and Volunteer Centre Enfield, and part-funds the Community Accountant.

City Bridge Trust 2014-19

City Bridge Trust has provided funding for the Development and Funding Advice Service to develop monitoring and evaluation skills in the local voluntary and community sector, including part-funding for EVA's Community Accountant.

For 2 years - 2018 - 2019 - the 'Planning for Impact, Funding for Change' workshop programme will be provided using this funding.

For 2 years - 2014 - 2017 - the 'Understanding Funders' workshop programme was provided using this funding.

Other Income 2015-17

We accessed small grants from the office of the Mayor of London and City of London Corporation to work with local organisations to increase and develop youth volunteering. SEGRO provided a small grant to support ongoing projects during 2015 -16.

Big Lottery Fund | Reaching Communities 2018 - 22

EVA has been awarded £388,000 by the Big Lottery Reaching Communities Fund to provide workshops over 4 years for up to 140 parents / carers of young children across the Borough to develop skills, confidence, and community relationships, including part-funding for the Community Accountant to develop budgeting skills.  The Project is named Discover & Share.

This builds on the success, and will extend the opportunities, of Doing It For Themselves (see The Tudor Trust 2014-17 below). The grant application came about as a direct result of interest expressed by former participants.

The Reaching Communities funding will also support 50 participants to move on to further training with Enfield Council and EVA to equip them to apply for paid work in child care.

Enfield Strategic Partnership 2017-2018

EVA received funding from Enfield Strategic Partnership to provide 2 Health Champions courses, with accreditation by OCN, for staff and / or volunteers in local voluntary and community organisations.

Awards for All 2018

EVA has received Awards for All funding for a 6 month project called Enfield Together which aims to celebrate innovation, inspiration and inclusion in Enfield's voluntary and community sector.

Training course charges | Ongoing

EVA uses training course charges to cover core training (Trustee Roles, Effective Meetings, and Note Taking), room booking, and refreshments costs.
