The ‘Schools in Partnership’ conference (5th November 2009) brought together 79 representatives from a variety of organisations working for the benefit of disadvantaged children in Enfield. Delegates discussed how supplementary schools and mainstream schools might work together. 22 headteachers/teaching staff; 13 local authority representatives; 33 supplementary school representatives; and 11 voluntary sector representatives attended.
Workshops included Quality, Partnership, Community Cohesion, Educational Achievement.
4 Enfield supplementary schools received their bronze award for gaining the National Resource Centre’s Quality Framework - Oakthorpe Turkish School, Polish Saturday School, KANGA (Kurdish Assoc. for New Generations Abroad), SECCA (Enfield Somali Community Assoc.).
