Enfield Voluntary Action (EVA) provides training courses & facilitates events to assist voluntary and community groups in Enfield to develop their organisations. EVA aims to provide effective, useful and interesting training & events and wants all participants to benefit fully from the time they give to training.

 

COST

1.EVA makes a small charge, where the full cost is not covered by our funders, for some of our training and events provided to cover the costs of administration, room hire & refreshments. All charges are displayed on the booking page on our website and on the booking form on paper.

2.To  obtain the  benefits provided at the lowest cost indicated, voluntary and community organisations must, unless otherwise stated, provide 80% of their services to Enfield residents.

3.Statutory sector, private companies, and organisations providing more than 20% of their services to residents outside Enfield will be  charged at  a  variable  rate  for any  training attended, unless otherwise stated.

 

BOOKING

4.Provide the phone number of the person who will be attending. This is required in the event that training or events are cancelled or postponed at short notice, due to unforeseen circumstances.

5.Organisations may book more than one person on any course or event but if it is over- subscribed you may be asked to send only one of your booked participants, so that more organisations can benefit.

6.Always check the booking form for the charge made for each training course. Full payment must be made before confirmation of your place.

7.Deposit cheques, where applicable, are returned on successful completion of the training or event. You must provide 2 cheques if you send 2 participants on any single course or event. The deposit cheque is not applicable where payment is required.

8.If you realise that you cannot attend after you have booked, let EVA know immediately. You may lose your deposit or payment if you do not inform EVA 5 working days before the date of the training or event, unless non-attendance is due to unforeseen circumstances.

9.If you or your organisation’s representatives repeatedly fail to attend training or events for which you have booked, whether free or paid for, you may be refused entry to future events or training. EVA will send a reminder if you fall into this category.

10.Places are allocated on a first-come, first served basis. Booking confirmation will be sent when payment has been received by EVA. Bring your booking confirmation to the course.

 

TIME KEEPING

1.Please arrive on time. It is disruptive for the trainer / facilitator and other participants when people arrive late. (See Special Arrangements below).

2.Parking spaces are limited in the Community House car park. If you plan to travel by car, please leave

3.enough time to find street parking.

4.If you are unavoidably delayed, contact the EVA office. Phone 020 8373 6268.

5.If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the start time you may be refused entry, and lose your deposit or other payment.

 

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS

1.EVA will make every effort to accommodate people with specialist requirements, eg due to disability, but will need adequate notice to arrange, for example, BSL interpreters.

2.If you expect to arrive late, or want to leave the training early, please indicate this, with times. The trainer will be informed, and decide whether this can be accommodated. The certificate of attendance cannot be provided without the approval of the trainer.

 

PHOTOGRAPHS / FILMING

1.EVA takes photographs and, occasionally, films of people attending our events for publicity, archive, and monitoring purposes. Photos & films may be used to illustrate our email newsletter, Impact Reports, reports to funders, or other EVA publications; on our website or our social media pages and channels eg. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube etc; or in EVA displays at other events.

2.You will always be asked to give your permission if this is likely to happen.

3.If, at any EVA meeting or event, you would prefer not to have your photo taken or be filmed (as outlined above) please make yourself known to the Chair or facilitator of the meeting, the photographer, or other EVA member of staff.
