Enfield Voluntary Action is known as EVA. We help people & groups access knowledge, skills & resources to make a difference in our Borough.
Let us know about your volunteering opportunity.
VCE will review your volunteer involvement practices once you have registered your organisation with us.
We will provide all the support you need to develop your organisation.
We can also help you find the right volunteer for your organisation.
Find out more about how we support people into volunteering on our volunteers page.
The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers and Volunteer Involving Organisations make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children. It replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).
It is essential that organisations working with volunteers are aware whether they need to register with the DBS.
If you want more advice on the implications of the DBS for your organisation,
Volunteer Centre Enfield (VCE) provides good practice support to organisations which involve volunteers in their work, or plan to in the future.
VCE aims to help you develop positive volunteering experiences for your organisation and for the volunteers you work with.
EVON is an informal lunchtime meeting and online forum for any staff or volunteers responsible for volunteers or for their organisation's volunteer programme.
EVON meets at Community House from 12.30-2.30pm, 4 times a year.
Meetings include presentations on topical volunteering subjects, and also provide an invaluable opportunity to learn, share and discuss ideas.
VCE provides low cost training to voluntary, community and statutory organisations and social enterprises to support and develop volunteer involvement.
VCE sends volunteering news emails with training and EVON reminders to all registered groups.
If you would like to receive VCE news, please contact VCE using this message form.
